Vision:
To be a great commission church where Christ’s Commission to His disciples is our calling.
Vision Verses:
Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28: 18 – 20
Mission:
We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ by introducing people to Him as Savior and helping them grow closer to Him as Lord.
Identity:
Cherry Ave is an Independent Christian church established as a light for Christ in the Fry’s Spring community and the larger city of Charlottesville. We are not tied to any formal denomination but seek to follow the teachings of the 1st century Church and the principles found in the book of Acts as well as the rest of the New Testament.
Regarding other Christian churches and those with denominational affiliations we strive to live in harmony through Christ.
